After the enormous success of last year’s “Ratatouille” Preview Event Liveblog it is a great pleasure to announce that the Disneyland Paris Treasures blog will be liveblogging the full Space Mountain Reopening Event on 23 July 2015.
The agenda will include exclusive access to the reopening event of Space Mountain: Mission 2, which reopens after six months of rehabilitation, and a one hour presentation on Space Mountain’s history Space Mountain: yesterday to today held by Laurent Cayuela of Walt Disney Imagineering Paris at Discoveryland Theatre.
And here we go, the Liveblog of the “Space Mountain” Reopening Event happens right here, right now! Liveblog updates happen below and will refresh automatically. So just scroll down, sit back, and enjoy the event!

Thanks a lot to everyone for the Retweets, the shares and all the nice comments! I hope you enjoyed the Liveblog even though there were some problems because of bad 3G reception. If you did enjoy it and care to leave a nice comment below I will send you something special of course Space Mountain related! 😉
The event has just ended. Thank you again Mathias & the whole team for a great event! Thank you for having us Disneyland Paris!!
Mathias said he had only three weeks time to create this amazing set! He was kind enough to sign mine for me:

A wonderful package of Space Mountain brochures:
Everyone was just given a great Collector’s Item as gift:
Here also lots of photos and artwork on display:
Now there is a gathering with Soft-Cocktails and small snacks beings served
The presentation was very interesting, especially because of all those rare artworks and old video clips.
Presentation has just ended. Filmed it completely, will upload it to YouTube soon.

The bubbles of the Nautilus are working!!
Rode Space Mountain twice. The ride was pretty smooth (still very shaky but was much worse in the past). Effects have very bright projections and lights now, looks great.
Have filmed the whole ride-through with the new effects, hope it turns out well (it’s still a very dark ride!). Will upload it to YouTube soon: Disneyland Paris Treasures on YouTube
Space Mountain’s outside and queue line look great, but no changes or additions
In the interior queue some new space image posters I think – not sure though, tbh
Everything looks so clean!
The attractions poster, crisp and clean:
CMs are having a hard time checking the access badge and explaining to guests without one why they cant enter
The doors just opened. Fans, Shareholders and unknowing regular guests are trying to get in

A cameraman from a French TV station is also here and will accompany the event
