Dear Readers: Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and thank you for a great 2014!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and great time with your loved ones. Today is New Year’s Eve and to celebrate I thought it would be nice to end this year by bringing a special gift to the readers of the Disneyland Paris Treasures blog – a full source recording in high quality and with stereo audio of the well-known “Top 10 things to know before you go!” video, Disneyland Paris’s very own Hotel Room TV show.
Should you have ever stayed at one of the Disneyland Paris hotels you’ll undoubtedly remember this show, as it runs 24/7 on its own dedicated channel on the In-Room TV and informs the guests about the most important things not to miss and how to make the best out of their time at the Resort. And while the parents make themselves ready for a busy day at the parks the kids lie on the bed, waiting and watching this show over and over again.
Recently the Disneyland Paris Treasures blog was kindly granted a private tour of the newly renovated and completely redesigned Standard Rooms of Disneyland Paris’s wonderful Newport Bay Club hotel. As these new rooms are not yet available for guests to book we are especially proud to bring you this full photo tour preview as well as a complete video tour!
We begin with the photo tour, find the video tour below, at the end of this post:
Merry Christmas everyone! First I would like to thank all my readers for their support and wish you a wonderful Christmas with your family as well as health, happiness and success for the coming year!
It’s Christmas and so I wanted to give you a little Christmas present: A complete and little bit unique ride through video of “it’s a small world – celebration“, the festive seasonal version of the classic Fantasyland ride at Disneyland Paris.
There are already quite a few ride through videos of “it’s a small world – celebration” available online, but what makes this one a little bit special is that I was all alone in the attraction during the filming. There was just me! All the boats were empty, no other guests were riding the attraction at that time so no one could disturb the recording with the usual “which country is that?” chatter or the annoying flash photography. Both video and audio are totally undisturbed, it was a ‘perfect’ ride through, so to speak.
If you have ever stayed in one of the Disneyland Paris hotels you most likely have a lasting impression of one of the more rarely mentioned benefits of staying in a Disney hotel room: Disney’s very own Hotel Room TV Show. This distinctive show runs 24/7 on its own dedicated channel on the In-Room TV and showcases the attractions, restaurants and entertainment of Disneyland Paris, in general just things that you really shouldn’t miss to make the most out of your stay.
In 1995, just like today, there has been such a Hotel Room TV Show. Unlike the show of today, in which they just highlight in ‘Top 10 List’ style with brief, flashy video clips the “Top 10 things to know before you go”, the show from 1995 takes a beautiful and much more jovial stroll through all of Disneyland Park, Festival Disney (as Disney Village was still called back then) and the Disney Hotels.
The Disneyland Paris Treasure blog is proud to bring you this exact, very rare and almost 20 year old Hotel Room TV Show video – a real treasure of Disneyland Paris history – in astonishing high quality, just as if you were there right now, back in 1995, laying on your comfy Disneyland Hotel room bed and turning on the TV!
